Family

Family Child Care Providers are registered by to care for children in a home setting.

• Maximum capacity is up to 8 children.

• Two (2) children under the age of two (2) years old is the maximum number of children one FCC provider is allowed to care for at any one time. The FCC provider can care for two more under 2 years old if s/he has another provider on site.

• FCC providers are registered by the New York State Office of Children and Family Services (OCFS) through our Registrar Department.

• An indicator of quality child care would be to have a smaller adult to child ratio than required by the state.
