Our training courses are designed to help early childhood professionals complete their OCFS nine topic training requirements and acquire required training hours for those seeking a Child Development Associate (CDA) credential, CDA credential renewal or in-service training. Our courses provide a variety of engaging topics designed specifically for the early childhood professional.

Are the topics required by OCFS covered in the various classes?
Yes, there is a link on the page that shows each class and the topics it covers.
Are Continuing Education Units (CEU) offered? What is the cost?
Yes, IACET (International Association for Continuing Education and Training) CEU’s are offered for every course through our online training partner, Smart Horizons. There is no additional cost.
Are college credits offered? What is the cost?
College credit is offered for the 120-Hour CDA training and 45-Hour CDA Renewal at Nova Southeastern University no additional fee. Child care professionals who complete the 120-Hour CDA training and earn their CDA National Credential can be awarded college level credit through Nova Southeastern University’s Fischler School. The Fischler School currently transfers in the CDA National Credential for nine (9) credits toward the Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree with a concentration in Child Development. Coursework completed toward the 45-Hour CDA Renewal will be considered to be transferred to a maximum of three credits.

How long do I take the course?
You have access to all training courses for one year including new courses that are added to the course catalog during your subscription period.
How do I get a completion certificate when I finish a course?
You can print the certificate after successfully completing a course with a score of 70 percent or higher. Go to the "My Courses" page (the page you see when you first log in) and select "My Courses". When the list of courses you have enrolled in appears, look for the title of the course you completed and click on the small certificate icon that appears at the end of the course title. The certificate will open and allow you to print it. Note: You will need Adobe Acrobat Reader (download link provided free) to view and print the certificate.
Once I start a course, do I need to finish it before I log out, if I don't have time to finish it?
You can log out at any time. The system will bookmark (remember) where you stopped. When you reenter the course, it will take up where it left off.

Can I complete the online test in more than one sitting?
The testing software does not allow you to save a test in progress. When you log into a test, it will be counted against your three try limit.
